some of the reviews said it didn't answer many of the questions it brought up.

I seen it today. I liked it even though there were some holes in the plot. This monster could take a beating and keep coming but had a hard time with wood doors. Mel didn't get pissed that his field got ruined but he was a controled type that couldn't swear either. I would see it again and will problably buy the DVD. 7 stars out of 10

Why dont JW's have a youth group?

something that has been alarming to my jw family is the amount of teens ("young ones") that have bailed out of the organisation, never to return.. they use the excuse, as would most jw's that "satan is getting them - he knows young ones are vulnerable.".

if you want my opinion, young people are getting far more educated - they are becoming far more broad minded than they were say 10 or 20 years ago.

because of the slow yet sturdy slackening of the "no college" rule, many more young jw's are attending university or college than ever before, and with further education comes more knowledge, more interaction with reasonable and intelligent conversations with educated people and most importantly -use of the internet ("satans latest tool, as put by a jw i talked to recently).

The reason there are no youth groups is because of the bureaucratic nature of the Society. Whenever any problem happens in the congregation the Elders report it to the Society. If this happens enough the Org. makes a ruling. They got rulings on all kinds of things including social gatherings of youths. At one time there were Witness skating parties held at the local ice and rollor rinks. My sister met a guy there, a worldly guy!! She has a nice daughter as a result of this. It was right after that the Society sent the letters to the elders.I don't think it was my sisters doing but youths will be youths everywhere and I am sure there more than a few problems. So the Societys thinking is that it is better just to make a rule and stop all gatherings. The problem is for the Org, is that it weakens their social ties. Most JW youths leave when they become of age. My sister did

The other day I got in a middle of a thread that I thought was just "a little boy teases girl thing." I did not know how sensitive this subject was to some people. The women posting were frankly honorable and Teejay to. But the men were not. I was not. 4skins was a jerk and not a gentleman. He insulted you with his damn lie so he can be damned! The beer and popcorn guys did not help things either. They sat there and laughed their asses off at you me and all the others. They even fed the flames and encouraged the insults. Frankly I think you are Aces and a feminine lady. You said it right "Feminity/Masculinity is defined by how we make the persons of the opposite sex feel about themselves" I agree and so by that definition I am NOT a very masculine man. I would like to be a gentleman. A gentleman is not rude to women and I was.
